Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia

I always liked to look at my Chinese Horoscope. It says that I'm born under the animal sign SNAKE...it says that snake people are not lucky in games of chance..draw lots...

I thought maybe that explains why every time I joined in any contest, there was never a chance that the roll of paper with my name in it was ever picked. With that, you could say I'm not lucky. Even when there is 9 out of 10 chances of being picked, I never got picked.

I also thought maybe that explains why during my law school years, my professors, almost always, would never have the chance to pick my classcards for those random recitations. It was a rare chance for us then to be able to recite prepared. But rare as it is, I happened to comply with my recitation requirement prepared. Why? Because all the students in my class were already called, their classcards randomly picked one day or another. My professor would have no choice but to name me to recite at the end of the recitation day, else i will not have a grade for the recitation requirement.

Running out of luck at winning a game of chance, or bad luck at being picked for oral recitation could be explained by my astrological sign. But then here's the question: THERE IS 1 OUT OF 2000 CHANCES FOR A CHILD TO BE AFFLICTED WITH ACUTE LYMPHOCYTIC LEUKEMIA, AND THAT "1 OUT OF 2000" HAPPENENED TO BE MY CHILD.
